"You're Hired!"- TMS Launches New Interview Friendly I-phone Game
TMS Asia-Pacific has released an i-phone game designed to actually help candidates in the job interview process.
Online, August 24, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Building on the success TMS Asia-Pacific has achieved since launching a job search mobile phone application later last year, the company has taken the concept a stage further TMS Asia-Pacific with the release of an i-phone game designed to actually help candidates in the job interview process.
In essence the "You're Hired" app is a game that not only gives players inside information about the questions typically asked by employers in an actual interview process, it is also designed to help prospective candidates prepare themselves before they even 'walk' into a meeting with their potential new boss.
The game involves advising candidates on what they should wear, what they need to bring with them, how they should conduct themselves and how they should respond to questions with 'players' being given a choice of alternative answers to those questions.
Depending on how candidates answer the questions ultimately decides a final score, that score determining whether or not they will be shown the 'you're hired' or the 'you didn't get the job' section of the game.
While the game is free to download, players who 'didn't get the job' and wishing to know where they failed can actually pay to receive an interview analysis and tips for future interview success.
Price for this option is USD1.99.
TMS CEO Andrew Chan said while essentially the concept was intended to be a "bit of fun" and was geared more to the Gen Y demographic, in reality the app provided a useful tool helping anyone to prepare themselves prior to an experience that in actuality can have life changing consequences.
"Going for a job interview can be quite a scary prospect," Mr Chan said.
"It's a make-or-break moment in your career and it's genuinely a nerve-wracking experience for most people.
"You would never take an important exam without practice nor would you run a marathon without training and that essentially is what "You're Hired!" sets out to do.

TMS first entered in the world of i-phone apps last November when it released a dedicated job search app which has now been downloaded by more than 80,000 users.
