World Champion Public Speaker to Give Keynote at Toastmasters Event

District 30 Toastmasters, a well-known district of Toastmasters International, has recently announced the keynote speaker for the May 22nd event will be 2007 World Champion and author of the book, Emote, Vikas Gopal Jhingran.

Vikas Gopal Jhingran used his own experience as a world class speaker, partnered with eclectic research, and analytical skills to understand the role emotion plays in public speaking. His emotion based method changes the way verbal communication is approached.

Mr. Jhingran has a Doctoral degree in engineering from MIT. As a student, he realized his immigrant background and introvert personality made public speaking difficult. He joined Toastmasters in 2002 to improve his communication skills. In 2007, he competed in and won the six month Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking competition. He works as an Engineer in Texas and travels the world teaching people how to give good presentations.

The event will be held May 22nd, 2014 at the Renaissance O'Hare located at a 8500 W Bryn Mawr Ave in Chicago. Event begins with a reception at 6:00pm, followed by Keynote address and an hour coaching session with Mr. Jhingran.
