Woodward School is Awarding Scholarships to Children of Essential Workers
QUINCY, Mass., May 14, 2020 (Newswire.com) - The Woodward School today announced Essential Worker Scholarships, new scholarships aimed at giving back to the community which it serves. The Essential Worker Scholarships are being offered to girls who are not currently enrolled at the school, entering grades 6-12, and offers a new way for students to become part of the program.
Woodward has been a leader in Girls’ education since 1894. Although we have been in quarantine, Woodward has been at the forefront in providing its program virtually, making a seamless transition to providing first-class, online learning for our students since March 13, 2020, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.
“We are delighted to offer the Essential Worker Scholarships to daughters, granddaughters, nieces of Essential Workers who are doing so much in these trying times,” says Renee DuChainey-Farkes, Head of School at The Woodward School. “At this time, we know it has been hard for Essential Workers and their families. We want to help. There is no better time than now for us to reach out to more families with daughters and make a difference!”
