The Sikh Heritage Month was proclaimed by the Government of Ontario in 2013 followed by the City of Brampton. This is a great opportunity to celebrate and reflect on the deep rich heritage of the Sikh Community said Sukhminder Singh Hansra president of the Sikh Heritage Month Celebration Committee. Now in 21st century the Sikh Heritage finds its roots in Canada since the 19th century added Hansra.

During the Month of April, the Sikh Community across the province of Ontario will host various events to mark the Sikh Heritage Month. The Sikh Heritage Month Celebration Committee will be hoisting Sikh Flag at the Parliament Hill Ottawa on April 3rd 2017 @11:30am-1:00pm.
