Web3 Security Firm Halborn Authorized by CVE Program as a CNA
Halborn, the leading provider of Web3 security solutions, has been authorized by the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA).
MIAMI, April 11, 2023 (Newswire.com) - Halborn, a cybersecurity firm serving both traditional finance and Web3 clients, today announced that it has been authorized by the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA). The CNA authorization allows Halborn to assign CVE IDs to newly discovered vulnerabilities and publicly disclose information related to these vulnerabilities, such as the recent "Demonic" vulnerability affecting MetaMask users, or the "Rab13s" vulnerability affecting over 280 networks, including Dogecoin.
The mission of the CVE Program is to identify, define, and catalog publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities. The CVE Records are used by information technology and cybersecurity professionals around the world to ensure they are discussing the same security issue, and to coordinate their efforts to prioritize and address the vulnerabilities.
The announcement of Halborn's recognition by the CVE Program is significant because Halborn is the first CNA with a focus on Web3 and the blockchain industry. "Halborn fills the glaring gap of cybersecurity expertise that is dedicated to the Web3 space," said Rob Behnke, Co-Founder and CEO of Halborn. "We're the first organization specializing in digital asset security solutions to establish itself in the traditional security space through the CVE Program, which grants more legitimacy to the entire Web3 industry."
