WanderTours - New Tour to Bali and Java in 2015
Seattle, WA, July 28, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The WanderTours Bali and Java Women-only Tour will visit these popular Indonesian islands in 2015. While most of the high-volume tourist traffic heads to this island nation for beaches and resorts, WanderTours seeks to leave a lighter footprint by venturing off the beaten path. As we head to rarely visited areas, tour goers will get to know the amazing culture and people of Bali and Java.
This tour will be led by Beth Whitman, CEO of WanderTours. From September 15 through September 29, 2015, the tour will visit destinations from Jogya to Mt. Bromo, from Prambanan to Ubud. Along the way, we’ll integrate with local culture as we experience traditional Indonesian batik making, a Javanese leather puppet performance, exotic spice plantations, the terraced rice fields of Bali and Buddhist temples. We’ll also add a touch of adventure with stunning views from the top of volcanic Mt. Batur, sunrise at Mt. Bromo and a short trek to the top of Mt. Ijen.
"Bali and Java have become two of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. While we'll definitely be visiting some of the islands' highlights, our aim is to also experience little-visited parts of the islands and get to know the locals as best we can on a short visit."
Beth Whitman, WanderTours CEO
Of course, we’ll have a little sampling of luxury too at Bali’s Samabe Resort.
This tour is for women only and limited to 16 women total. The cost is $3,825 with a single supplement of $1,300. Included are 14 nights’ accommodation in 3- to 5-star hotels, entrance fees, English-speaking guides and 35 meals. Flights to and from Indonesia are not included.
About Beth Whitman
Beth fell in love with Bali on her very first trip in 1992 and has been drawn back there many times since. Though the region has become more commercialized since that early visit, she still loves the gentle nature of the people, their deep spiritual roots and the beauty of the landscape–from rice fields to mountains to the ocean.
She is the author of the Wanderlust and Lipstick series of guides and the editor of www.WanderlustAndLipstick.com and www.WanderTours.com
