“I am proud to announce the endorsement of the U.S. Women’s Chamber of Commerce (http://www.uswcc.org) for Aimee Belgard in the race for New Jersey’s 3rd Congressional District,” stated Margot Dorfman, CEO. “Belgard’s focus is squarely on the economic needs of her community.”

“Belgard supports a positive economic environment for women workers and business owners, American job creation, fair pay, a fair minimum-wage, family-friendly workplaces, access to affordable/quality healthcare and birth control, policies that support a vibrant middle class and access to capital and federal contracts for women-owned firms,” continues Dorfman.

"Aimee's commitments to help small business are right on target and will have very positive growth outcomes for New Jersey business owners."

“Aimee Belgard grew up in South Jersey starting to work at a very early age – and eventually becoming a top trial and appellate litigator,” adds Dorfman. “Belgard understands that hard work, fair pay and opportunity, access to education and healthcare and a secure retirement are the bedrock of building a strong middle-class in New Jersey.”

“Belgard is also committed to policies that will help small businesses by increasing access to capital and reducing tax burdens.  She supports the CREED Act which would make it easier for business owners to refinance commercial property and the Credit Union Small Business Jobs Act which would allow credit unions to make larger loans to small businesses, “continues Dorfman.  “Aimee’s commitments to help small business are right on target and will have very positive growth outcomes for New Jersey business owners.”

“Growing the number of strong women leaders in Congress is critical to assuring that women’s economic priorities are advanced,” adds Dorfman. “American prosperity is directly linked to the economic success of women. Seventy percent of women work and seventy-two percent of mothers work. A record forty percent of all households with children under eighteen include mothers who are either the sole or primary source of income for their family. Women own 225,000 New Jersey firms employing 258,000 workers,” continues Dorfman.

“Aimee Belgard will fight for New Jersey women, families and businesses in Congress. We are proud to endorse her candidacy.”
