US Stock Market Has The Potential To Rise Over 50%
Online, April 18, 2011 (Newswire.com) - In a new, two- part series Mike Astrachan reveals the potential of the US stock market under the header: "The US stock market wants to go up". It was submitted to the Israeli news paper "Globes" and appears on his blog. Mike has made many impressive, accurate predictions: he predicted Black Monday; the dramatic rise in the stock market in 1995 - 1999 and the collapse of the market starting in the first quarter of 2000. He has also warned in real time about the risks associated with world economic growth based critically on the rise in U.S. house prices, and predicted the fall of the stock market in 2007 - 2009, as well as the current rally.
In the present article Mike explains his optimistic forecast for the US stock market in detail, including charts and figures from the 2000 peak and the last economic peak at 2007.
According to Mike, "The stock market can keep rising fast well beyond current expectations. Even a gain of over 50% in the next couple of years can't be precluded. But the risks (detailed in part 1) are correspondingly high. The market will reach its potential only if none of these horror stories (e.g. oil at $150 per barrel, a financial contagion in Europe, radioactivity reaches Tokyo, the budget deficit is cut severely and prematurely etc.) plays out in full".
With Mike's record of forecasting the US and world economy for over 30 years and with a detailed forecast like that one would be well advised to take heed for one's organization or one's own investing purposes.
Mike ends his article with a practical recommendation for the sophisticated investor, "this means investing in call options or option spreads rather than in stocks".
