TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento Offers Help in Preparing for Your Trip to Mexico

Owners of the Award Winning Moving Company, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento, Mark Snyir and Chad Arnold offer preparation tips for your upcoming vacation to Mexico.

Preparing for a trip to Mexico can be either an exciting or stressful situation. In order to get the most out of your trip, planning in advance is necessary. For some preparation tips and other travel tips we turned to the owners of the Award Winning Movers, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK Sacramento, Mark Snyir and Chad Arnold.

If you don't have a passport, make sure you get one well in advance. Failing to do so, can result in you paying over $200 dollars to get your passport expedited to you in time. Trust us, we both know from recent experience.

Do laundry. Have all your clothes clean a few days before your trip. Last thing you need is to be up late the night before, or up early the day of doing laundry just so you can pack your favorite shirt.

Get toiletries head of time. Most people have a travel bag. I buy toiletries just for trips. This way they never get used on an everyday basis, and the toiletry bag is always packed. I also always pack my toiletries in my checked in luggage. This way I don't have worry about ounces.

Charge your batteries and your other electronic devices. Bringing your camera, IPOD and other devices on vacation can be fun. What's not fun is bringing them when you have forgotten to charge them. So charge the devices in advance and bring the recharging devices with you in case your items go dead while on vacation.

Study the language. You don't need to recite an essay in Spanish, but you should be able to get by with a few key phrases. You'll feel better about yourself when dealing with the locals, and you'll impress the rest of your group.

Clean your house a few days before your trip. I like cleaning my house a few days before a trip. This way, when I return from my trip, the house is clean and my only chore is laundry.

Pack your suntan lotion. How many of us have forgotten to bring our suntan lotion o vacation? I never have. In fact, I have 6 cans of lotion in closet. I am guilty of just not bringing it to the pool or beach with me. I travel 2000 miles with the can, but it seems like such a chore to carry that same can from my room to the pool. Anyways, I end up using someone else's lotion and save mine. And maybe it's just me, but every time I put lotion on, I think of the movie "Silence of the Lambs". The part where Buffalo Bill or Bob (sorry, it's been a while) goes "It puts the Lotion on the body". I have at times gone too far and repeated this phrase as lotion is being applied to my body, however, no laughs were received.

Research the area you're going to. An uninformed tourist is a bad tourist. I like knowing where all the best clubs are, attractions are, and best places to eat. What better way to find out than to read reviews from people who have already been to the area? I read plenty reviews, and it takes a few bad ones to turn me off of something if I like it. I realize some people are party poopers.

Eat like there is no tomorrow. Why do you think they give prisoners their choice of their last meal before they are being executed? Because you should "go" having the meal of your choice. That's why I live by this Golden Rule.....treat every meal like it's your last meal. I don't know when I'm going to die, but one thing I do know: when I die, my last meal will not have been a salad.

Those are our tips for preparing for a Mexican trip. We hope this helped.
