Trial Attorney Marc Howard Appointed to Sandy Springs Bar Association Board of Directors

Online, November 25, 2013 (Newswire.com) - Atlanta trial lawyer and Sandy Springs resident Marc Howard, of the Pope & Howard, P.C. Law Firm in Atlanta, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Sandy Springs Bar Association. He is slated to begin his term on January 1, 2014.
The Sandy Springs Bar Association (SSBA) is populated by local attorneys and judges who live, work, or are involved in the Sandy Springs community. Its members specialize in a wide variety of legal areas, including personal injury, a specialty of the Pope & Howard, P.C. Law Firm. All members of the SSBA meet for monthly luncheons, where keynote speakers offer relevant and informative presentations meant to inspire dialogue and debate.
In addition to the monthly luncheons, the SSBA also sponsors charitable activities that both support and educate the residents of Sandy Springs. In 2005, the SSBA was honored by the State Bar of Georgia for its contributions to the residential and legal community in Sandy Springs.

Over the course of his career, he has been inducted into a number of local professional associations, including the Atlanta Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association (GTLA), and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation. Currently, he serves as a member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors (BOG), which is the statewide governing body for over 40,000 attorneys in Georgia.
Howard is also active in the community during his recreational time as well, attending services at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, teaching Sunday school, and coaching for the youth basketball league.
