Times Offers Helping Hand in Disaster Relief Efforts
HONOLULU, April 24, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Big Save Markets and Times Supermarkets are happy to announce that they’ve reopened Big Save Hanalei after flooding closed parts of the store for several days. During the flooding, Times worked with the American Red Cross Hawaii to help provide essential supplies and other key grocery products.
“We want to thank our employees and partners for helping us get the store cleaned up so quickly,” said Chris Borden, president of Times Supermarkets. “We’re dedicated to helping the community in times of need and are partnering with American Red Cross of Hawaii to help raise donations to support disaster relief.”
All Big Save and Times Supermarket locations throughout the state will also serve as monetary donation points from April 23-May 7, accepting donations in increments of $5, $10 and $20 at checkout.
“100 percent of customer donations will support Red Cross Disaster Relief, including the floods,” said Coralie Matayoshi, CEO of American Red Cross. “We’re thankful to work with organizations like Times to further our mission and hope other local businesses will join in because we’re stronger together!”
In addition to helping raise community funds, Times will be making a corporate donation to the cause. To learn more about how to help, visit https://www.timessupermarkets.com/.
