Atlanta's Premiere City Club Taps Atlanta Restaurateur to Manage the Club's Dining Experience

​​​​The Gathering Spot, an innovative, private, members-only city club, announces its restaurant and bar, WYE at The Gathering Spot, a nod to the building’s past as a rail car turnaround and named after the triangular-shaped arrangement of railroad tracks. A destination for members to come together, WYE offers full-service dining amenities and a menu with seasonal, elevated takes on classic dishes that aims to feature sustainable, organic and local selections when available.  Atlanta restaurateur Doug Foley has been selected to lead the development and management of the restaurant and bar, including providing unique catering services for the club’s event offerings.

“Whether our members are looking to hold a one-on-one business dinner or a large corporate or personal event, WYE at The Gathering Spot offers something for everyone,” explains Ryan Wilson, CEO of the Gathering Spot.  “We designed WYE so that it not only serves up a quality and delicious menu, but also provides a comfortable atmosphere where our staff and members know each other, specifically menu preferences and how they prefer to dine. Based on Doug’s experience with opening and managing restaurants in the Atlanta market, we know that we have recruited the right partner to bring this type of dining experience to our members and their guests.”

Located within The Gathering Spot, and opening late January, WYE offers patrons a modern and industrial design, crafted by global design firm Gensler, who also designed the city club in its entirety.  The menu consists of small plates, salads, burgers, sandwiches and large plates, and will change often based on seasonality and availability of locally-sourced vegetables and produce.  In addition to a full-service menu, WYE will also have an expansive bar that features a selection of craft beers, wine and a unique cocktail menu that serves up the perfect glass to clink when meeting work colleagues, networking or connecting with professional friends.

Restaurateur Doug Foley Heads WYE

Responsible for the development and daily operations of WYE Restaurant and Bar, Foley joins The Gathering Spot as a partner, bringing decades of experience to the city club.  With concepts such as Vino Venue, Winchester Woodfire Grill, Featherstone’s, Silver Spoon Café, Center Cut Catering and more under his belt, Foley is no stranger to the Atlanta market and is well-equipped to manage WYE’s full-service restaurant and bar, as well as catering and event opportunities.
