Taste And Discover the Aroma of World's Finest Teas at Delhi Duty Free
Tea Tasting and an innovative Tea Buggy awaits international travelers at Delhi Duty Free
Online, December 28, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Time for sensory relaxation at the airport for international travelers. Delhi Duty Free, India's largest duty free retail space at T3, IGI Airport, in association with India's most famous gourmet tea brand San-cha Tea, has kicked off 'Tea Tasting'. Given that travelers from around the world value Indian tea tremendously, this exercise has been very well received and appreciated by the travelers.
The duty free shops at the Delhi airport stock the San-cha brand of teas, and using a custom made 'Tea Samovar,' are currently serving the famous Masala Chai (Black Tea blended with fresh spices from the Malabar Coast of India) and the Darjeeling Earl Grey Tea (a unique blend of floral Darjeeling black tea and citrusy bergamot) round the clock to the travelers. Known for one of the most popular beverages in the country, San-cha Tea is a true connoisseur's delight. Their vast collections include teas from Darjeeling, Assam, Nilgiri and Kangra.
The tea-tasting activity is being conducted at the Delhi Duty Free throughout the day, and the tea is served by two tea connoisseurs, who give the travelers complete information about the different flavours on offer, the brews, the technique, the history of the tea, and much more.
Bringing in innovation, this activity is being carried out in a stylish Tea Tasting Buggy, which has been specifically designed for use inside the airport/duty free environment by a professional retail design firm. Built on wheels, the buggy is mobile and has an in-built water disposal system and its table top has a custom built 'Tea Samovar', which helps in preparing the tea at the right temperature and brew. The buggy also has storage space for disposable glasses, tea leaves, tea pots, cups, napkins and serving trays.
"Being one of the largest tea producers in the world, Indian tea is regarded as the best and adored by many around the world. Having started tea tasting at the departure shops, we are delighted with the response it has garnered from the travelers. Looking at its success, we have decided to carry on the activity for a few more months at the duty free shops. This activity has not just led to an increased interest in the beverage, but has also created higher demand for the same at the duty free shops" said Delhi Duty Free spokesperson.
