T.E.N. Announces 2019 ISE® North America Award Winners

The University of Chicago Medicine, Cox Communications, Woodforest National Bank, Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Emory University, Comcast Corporation and Mastercard take home awards.

T.E.N., a technology and information security executive networking and relationship-marketing firm, honored finalists and winners Wednesday evening at the 2019 ISE® North America Leadership Summit and Awards at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois.

The ISE® North America awards recognize both information security executives and project teams for outstanding achievements and innovation. Nominations from across the U.S. and Canada were considered within four categories, based on industry classification, including Academic/Public Sector, Commercial, Financial Services and Health Care.

Academic/Public Sector Category 
Erik Decker, Chief Information Security & Privacy Officer for The University of Chicago Medicine, claimed this year’s ISE® North America Executive Award in the Academic/Public Sector Category.

Emory University’s “AWS at Emory” project won this year’s ISE® North America Project Award in the Academic/Public Sector Category.

Commercial Category
Kim Keever, CISO and Senior Vice President of Security, Analytics and Technology Services of Cox Communications, was awarded the ISE® North America Executive of the Year Award for the Commercial Category.

The ISE® North America Project of the Year in the Commercial Category was Comcast Corporation’s “CyberSplash” Project.

Financial Services Category 
Marc Crudgington, CISO, SVP Information Security for Woodforest National Bank, was selected as the ISE® North America Executive of the Year Award Winner in the Financial Services Category.

Mastercard’s project, “SecurIT,” was selected as the ISE® North America Project of the Year in the Financial Services Category.

Health Care Category
Mark Leary, CISO for Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, was selected as the ISE® North America Executive of the Year Award Winner for the Health Care Category.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals’ “Cyber-Immune Project” was selected as the ISE® North America Project of the Year in the Health Care Category.

People’s Choice Award 
Amanda Fennell, Chief Security Officer for Relativity, is the ISE® North America People’s Choice Award Winner. This award represents the nominee who best exemplifies information security leadership, as voted on by peers in information security.

Luminary Leadership Award 
The 2019 Luminary Leadership Award Winner of 2019 is Wes Knight, CISO of the Georgia Department of Revenue. The award celebrates an outstanding industry leader for their distinguished service, stewardship and contributions in the information security industry.
