Syncroness Systems Engineers Featured at the 26th Annual INCOSE International Symposium

Syncroness, an engineering design firm based in Colorado, participated in this year’s International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) Symposium in Edinburgh, Scotland from July 18 to 21, 2016. Syncroness was represented at INCOSE by three Systems Engineers who presented published white papers to a gathering of Systems Engineers from over thirty countries. The Symposium attracts an international mix of professionals at all levels, and includes practitioners in government and industry, as well as educators and researchers.

Syncroness approaches systems engineering with a focus on front-end planning to ensure that product requirements are complete, unambiguous, and achievable. Syncroness’ cross-functional teams build highly detailed specifications, improved use case definitions, and enhanced requirements traceability, leading to quicker, more focused new product development and eliminating late-stage redesigns and associated risks and costs.

“The systems engineering process offers deeper insight into product development which leads to reduced time-to-market, eliminating late-stage redesigns, and minimizing associated risks and costs,” said Mike Walraven, Chief Executive Officer, “We are proud of our Systems Engineers and their contributions to innovation, excellence, and service to our teams, our customers, and our systems engineering community.”

James Kolozs, Staff Systems Engineer, spoke to the INCOSE audience of his recently published white paper about navigating the overwhelming number of statistical methods and references available in order to make verification more meaningful in any industry. Nichole Kass, Systems Engineer, presented her published white paper which addresses the practical aspects for building and using a simplified Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach. Carissa Black, Systems Engineer, presented her publication detailing how a systems engineer who has full ownership of the design and its documentation and acts as the technical lead can improve medical device development.
