Super Bowl Parking Expensive and Limited - Take Tri-Rail Roundtrip for $5
Dolphin Stadium is ramping up security for Super Bowl along with numerous game day activities, which is making game day parking limited and expensive. Event goers can take Tri-Rail for a roundtrip ticket price of $5.
Online, January 28, 2010 (Newswire.com) - With increased security and numerous activities planned for game day, parking will be limited and very expensive on game day at Miami's Dolphin Stadium for Super Bowl XLIV and Pro Bowl 2010. Tri-Rail, South Florida's premier commuter rail system, has partnered with Miami Subs Pizza & Grill to offer additional service, including special, late-night trains and shuttle buses, to meet the demand for Pro Bowl 2010 and Super Bowl XLIV. Event-goers can beat the traffic and enjoy a ride on Tri-Rail for only $5 roundtrip, which includes the cost of both the train and shuttle bus rides.
"Tri-Rail is definitely one of the most convenient, stress-free ways to get to the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl," said Director of Marketing Bonnie Arnold, South Florida Regional Transportation Authority/Tri-Rail. "We recognize that these are two of the largest sporting events to be hosted in South Florida and we wanted to offer residents and visitors an alternative way to get to the games at an affordable price."
Special advance-sale tickets, priced at $5 for adults and discounted at $2.50 for senior citizens 65 years and older, persons with disabilities, Medicare card holders, students and children ages five - 12 (discounted ticket-holders must show appropriate identification once onboard the train), are available now at www.tri-rail.com or at any of Tri-Rail's Ticket Kiosk locations beginning December 14. Advance sales on the website will close one week prior to each game. Tickets may also be purchased on the day of the game at ticket kiosks or from the ticket vending machines (tickets must be purchased at a station other than the Golden Glades Station). People taking the train to the game are encouraged to purchase their tickets in advance, in order to avoid long lines on game day.
Riders can board the train at any of Tri-Rail's 18 conveniently located stations and enjoy a train ride to the Golden Glades Station. From there, riders will board a shuttle bus to arrive at the Wal-Mart bus drop-off and pick-up location directly across the street from Dolphin Stadium. Shuttle buses will begin operating the loop between the train station and the bus drop-off and pick-up location at 1 p.m., for both games. Kick-off for the Pro-Bowl is at 7:30 p.m. The Super Bowl kick-off is scheduled for 6:28 p.m. Buses will return to the station in time for passengers to catch the 8:48 p.m. northbound train or the 9:50 southbound train, should fans need to leave the game early. Special northbound and southbound trains will depart from the station approximately one-hour after the last play of the games, and an additional northbound train will depart the station one and a half hours after the final play.
