Soundtrack of Metal Gear Solid 3
Online, June 23, 2014 (Newswire.com) - When MGS3 was released, many fans instantly hailed it as the best in the series. It is certainly the most realistic, as you now have to hunt for food in the jungle and heal any wounds that you pick up. Actions such as these are brilliantly accompanied by the Metal Gear Solid 3 soundtrack, and the thrill of hunting a wild mouse, for example, is accentuated by the tense music coming to a final climax once the mouse is caught.
The Metal Gear Solid 3 soundtrack also contains one of the most memorable themes from any game ever made. The main theme (title 'Snake Eater', after the game) could be compared to the same kind of songs that you'd find in a James Bond movie. By that I mean that it has a slow tempo, a strong female singer and is very dramatic. Obviously, comparisons can be drawn between James Bond and Metal Gear Solid in that they are both spies, and Kojima has often been quoted expressing his love for 007. There is one really great scene in the game where you're climbing up a huge ladder and the song begins to play. The whole climbing sequence lasts easily over 3 minutes, and it is one of the most original pieces in a game that I've ever experienced.
It can be seen throughout the game (and throughout the series) that Hideo Kojima (the mastermind behind it all) lies to make his games like interactive action films. This becomes apparent after watching some of the game's fantastic cut-scenes before being thrown head-first into an epic boss fight. The blend between video game and other media is now blurring, and the Metal Gear Solid 3 soundtrack is available to buy.
