Smithsonian Tour "Around the World by Private Jet" Is An Inspiration

From November 1st to the 22nd, Smithsonian Journeys, the Smithsonian Institution's travel program, will set off on an adventure by way of private charter jet to some of the most exciting destinations around the globe.

For more than 40 years, the Smithsonian Institution's travel program has hosted trips around the world, giving participants the chance to visit spectacular sights that are rich in history and culture as a part of their Smithsonian Journeys program. Every year, the institute embarks on a 22-day journey that spans across multiple continents, taking only 78 lucky passengers aboard a private Boeing 757, specially designed to accommodate them in an intimate and exclusive setting. Ordinarily, the aircraft can the capability to seat 233 passengers, but for this exclusive journey, the aircraft gives its passengers room to enjoy their flight and make the most of their time as they travel from one destination to the next.

The participants also get the luxury of traveling with distinguished experts from various fields that take them on a hands-on tour of the world, exploring the rich culture and history attached to each of the destinations they visit. From ecologists to scholars, experts in various aspects of art and history guide their group through places all across the globe, explaining in great detail, the wonders, both natural and man-made, that lay before them in some of the most breathtaking locations in the world.

Each trip is unique and takes its participants to places like the mysterious ruins of Machu Picchu, the Great Barrier Reef, Easter Island, and Morocco. Over the span of the journey, they will visit five continents, nine countries, and fourteen world heritage sites, allowing for the group to see varying sights of historical significance all over the world and allow them to see, first hand, some of the most beautiful and mysterious sights the world has to offer. Because these destinations are so remote, the use a private charter jet is the most efficient way to get to these hidden places, where smaller airports are located, allowing only for private aircraft. This also cuts the travel time often in half, allowing more sightseeing and less driving.

Due to the increased popularity of the excursion, the Smithsonian has now even added additional tours, allowing for more people to take part in this life-changing experience. Aside from the November tour, they are now also hosting a tour in October, as well as another in January, 2012.

By flying by way of private jet, the Smithsonian Institute is able to provide their passengers with some of the most luxurious accommodations while taking part in this once-in-a-lifetime adventure, and if you can afford the nearly $63,000 ticket, it should not be passed up. If not, this can also be a tool to inspire you to plan your own journey, and charter a private jet of your own, taking you to destinations of your own choosing. Either way, at some point, everyone should spoil themselves and take a trip by private jet, taking in the beauty of the world and making it a trip to cherish for the rest of your life.
