Simply Shania Kickin' It Country in South Florida
Jupiter, FL, June 17, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Shania Twain has kicked off her first major tour in over a decade. Not only will it be her first series of concerts in 11 years, but Shania is considering it to be her farewell “after-party” tour on the heels of a successful two-year residency in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Her Rock This Country tour includes 67 dates in the United States and Canada, with a stop in Miami at the American Airlines Arena on July 16th.
Shania fans can get a jump start on hearing the country megastar’s hits on June 27th, at the Kickin’ It Country Music Festival when the South Florida tribute Simply Shania takes the stage at the Pompano Beach Amphitheater.
Thanks to the music and talent of Ms. Twain, Simply Shania has had countless opportunities over the last fifteen years including travelling overseas to perform for U.S. military troops stationed in Japan, South Korea, Kosovo and Macedonia. The tours were eye-opening and extraordinary experiences, but it was that surreal moment in Las Vegas on October 15, 2014, when lead vocalist, Valerie Nasko, finally realized one of her biggest dreams – to thank Shania Twain in person. That moment, albeit brief, was truly magical and inspired Valerie to put on her Shania boots once again and return to the spotlight. With her husband/bassist, Buddy, at her side, the couple has reformed their band and are ready to Rock This Country Shania-style!
The festival will also feature American Idol winner Taylor Hicks and tributes to country music greats – Garth Brooks and Kenny Chesney.
