"Set Technology Aside," Says Andre Moxie, "It's Still About Relationships."

Andre Moxie uses all of the tools available to the modern road warrior. He is a highly respected sales professional for a global company.

Andre Moxie has been a professional sales person for a long time. He has seen techniques, sales systems and management styles come and go. Andre Moxie reports that there is one aspect of sales that has not changed; it is still about relationships. Speaking to a local group of hopeful entrepreneurs this past week, Andre Moxie offered tips and answered questions about the world's oldest profession.

Andre Moxie said that there are four core aspects to all sales. The first has been stated so many times that it may not even go past the filters of our hearing; Trust. Andre Moxie shared that the one durable trait that is needed more then any other is trust. Andre Moxie also added that products, marketing materials and presentations come and go, but a client that can look you squarely in the eye and detect fairness and a lack of manipulation will nearly always do business with you.

Hand in hand with trust is motivation. Andre Moxie explained that a sales professional's motivation is quickly identified in today's sophisticated global marketplace. From Andre Moxie's perspective, if you do not have your client's best interests set first and foremost, a sales career should not be considered. Commission is a byproduct of proper perspective and relationship from the perspective of Andre Moxie.

Andre Moxie presented the third aspect as one often overlooked, and that is behavior. Behavior is a reflection of motivation. Though silent, behavior often reveals more about a sales professional than any words spoken or presentation given. Andre Moxie also said that "power dinners" and influential third party introductions often replace appropriate conduct in today's business environment. Andre Moxie cautioned those entering professional sales to carefully consider their conduct both inside and outside the work place. He pointed out that there is no substitute for good conduct.

The final recommendation made by Andre Moxie is the one most people put first; communication. Good communication, said Andre Moxie, is a given requirement in all sales. People unable to clearly articulate ideas are simply not suited for sales. What makes Andre Moxie's approach different is that he has found over time that it is the combination of trust, motivation and behavior that combine most powerfully in communication.

The old reference to a person's conduct speaking so loudly that no one can hear his or her words still holds true today. In the case of Andre Moxie, his words are heard clearly. Trust, motivation, behavior and communication must all combine to convey not only the quality of the product, but the quality of the sales professional as well.
