Second Annual Women's Conference Returns to Detroit in 2014
Online, May 5, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Super Woman Productions and Publishing is hosting the second annual I Feel Good! Mind, Body and Soul Women's Conference on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 9 am to 2:30 pm eastern at Wayne State University in the General Lectures Building, located 5045 Anthony Wayne Drive, Detroit, Michigan 48202.
Wayne State University is once again sponsoring this community event. I Feel Good! Mind, Body and Soul Women's Conference is for young women ages 11 to 18 years old, adult women 19 years and older and parents. The conference focus is educate and motivate women of all ages to live healthier lives; socially, financially and physically, beginning at a younger age. Tickets for young women 11 to 18 years of age are free, $15 for parents, $20 for individual women. The cost includes 3 workshops per attendee and a gift bag.
The 2014 I Feel Good! Mind, Body and Soul Women's Conference volunteer workshop facilitators are Rasheda Kamaria (Empowered Flower Girl), Cheryl Lacey Donovan (Cheryl Lacey Donovan Ministries), Ivy N. McQuain (The BLI Group), Jaye Hill (Jaye Hill Speaks), Charmaine Johnson-Fuller (Fuller Potentials Coaching), LaTrisha Jackson (Seek Monumental Heights), Phil Black (The Manhood Project), Lacretia Rogers (Detroit CEO Magazine), Stephanie Penn (Daily Venus Diva), Cassandra Jones-McBryde (The Fuller Woman Expo) and Angela T. Jones (Super Woman Productions and Publishing). This year's featured guest speaker is Sonia Jackson Myles (The Sister Accord), who will address the audience as the conclusion of the event. Each facilitator is an accomplished individual in their industry and they avidly work in their communities. Workshops will cover topics for attendees that include bullying, social media, lifestyle choices, wellness and goal setting. Workshops are to motivate people into action for themselves, their families and the community. Young women ages 11 to 18 will be automatically registered for Chica Chat as one of their workshops and each adult will select three workshops to attend. Vendor opportunities are available for community resources, nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, health, wellness and beauty services. The cost of vendor tables subsidizes the cost for each young woman under the age of 18 to attend. Additional sponsors are needed and in kind donations are being accepted for lunches, beverages, printing services, gift bag items and prizes for the winner of the When I Grow Up Writing Contest.
