Rotech Machines Expand Their Rf1 Stack To Stack Feeder Range With The Introduction Of A New Pharma System.
Online, October 4, 2012 (Newswire.com) - With the growing demand for datamatrix barcoding on cartons, Rotech have developed a system, specifically targeted at the pharmaceutical industry that allows for a carton to be fed, printed, scanned and, if necessary, rejected, all within much the same footprint of their standard RF1 stack to stack feeder range.
The intelligent control system tracks a number of cartons at a time as they travel along the conveyor with a number of trigger points at which the controller communicates with the appropriate device be that the printer, the camera, the reject device or the reject confirmation sensor.
As customers often have a preference when it comes to the choice of printer and camera system, Rotech have made connection of these devices very straightforward and can advise on the best way to optimise the performance of the machine.
Although a Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) Printer is the more usual type of printer as it is unaffected by changes in thickness of the carton, the systems can be fitted with a continuous Thermal Transfer (TTO) printer if so desired. Throughput can be up to 200 cartons per minute depending on camera response time.
The Rotech RF1 range of automatic stack to stack feeding systems is designed to handle a wide range of products. One system has the ability to serve several production lines and offers fast changeover between batches.
Fitted with the right type of printer/labeler these systems can address a range of coding and marking applications, such as; carton coding, sleeve coding, blister card coding, coding Tyvek pouches, even printing seed packs with all the information relating to the product inside. These systems save stock of preprinted products and provide only the packs that are needed, when they are needed.
