Axelrod PAC Mounts Cult Musical in Groundbreaking Production by Director Paul Stancato
DEAL, N.J., October 20, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Axelrod Performing Arts Center (APAC) presents rock and soul singer Remember Jones in the title role of the cult musical “Jekyll and Hyde,” opening Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, and running for three weekends at the theater in Ocean Township.

Remember Jones, Star of Jekyll & Hyde at the Axelrod Arts Center
Recorded 32 times in 28 languages, the musical “Jekyll and Hyde” boasts a highly regarded pop-inflected score by Frank Wildhorn and Leslie Bricusse, including such favorites as “This Is the Moment,” “Someone Like You,” and “A New Life.” The Axelrod production is directed and choreographed by Paul Stancato, who directed the last national tour of the show.
Jones is joined by a distinguished cast of professional actors including Rebecca Krainik as Lucy Harris; Adrianna Milbrath as Emma Carew; Jonmichael Tarleton as Gabriel John Utterson; Austin Ryan as Simon Stride; Rutledge Varley as Sir Danvers Carew; Jeff O’Neil as the Bishop of Basingstoke, and ten others.
“Jekyll and Hyde” plays Nov. 4, 11,17, 18 at 8 p.m., Nov. 5, 12, 19 at 3 p.m. and Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at the Axelrod Performing Arts Center (100 Grant Avenue, Deal Park section of Ocean Township, New Jersey). The APAC production features a set based on Stephen Dobay’s original design, adapted by Fred Sorrentino, lighting by Keith Truax and Patrick Hayes, technical direction by Gerry Gironda, stage management by Michael Fernandez and Dennis Tolentino, costumes by Fred Mayo and Scaramouche Costumes, wigs by Kurt Alger and properties by Susan Bloir.
