RAYDON CORPORATION Achieves CMMI Maturity Level Three
Port Orange, FL, July 22, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Today, Raydon Corporation, a world leader in simulation training to the U.S. Military, confirmed its high quality software and hardware development capabilities with the achievement of Maturity Level Three in the CMMI for Development v1.3 (CMMI-DEV v1.3 ML3).
CMMI (Capability Maturity Model Integration) is a process improvement framework for software and engineering systems developed by Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute (SEI), working closely with industry, academia, US defence and US government organizations.
Maturity Level Three indicates that when appraised, Raydon was found to be achieving a combination of specific and generic goals in a broad range of process areas.
“Raydon's core strategic goals of developing and delivering the most relevant and measurably effective Virtual Training at the lowest cost per training hour are executed through agileCMMI. The increased operating efficiency will continue to drive up the company's revenue per employee while providing a tight scalable process across many better aligned company functions,” said Mike Vollmar, CEO of Raydon.
Raydon worked with Broadsword Solutions Corporation (Broadsword) to apply its agileCMMI Methodology to streamline the CMMI appraisal process, making the process more useful and efficient. The partnership enabled Raydon to add more rigor and measurements to its processes, in support of making better decisions and better serving its clients.
Broadsword’s President, Jeff Dalton, said, “By successfully adopting CMMI as a framework for performance improvement, and achieving a CMMI Maturity Level Three Rating, Raydon has demonstrated their credentials as a leading provider of high quality training systems and services.”
