Project Noah Commits Additional Capital to Build Schools in Africa

WA,USA, March 16, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Project Noah announced additional investment funding to build schools and invest in the education system in Africa. The foundation plans to cooperate with local education providers from both the private and public sectors to provide funding for Africa’s education system, to help African children aspire towards attaining a brighter future, through access to a good, sound and stable education.

Over the last half a decade, overall spending on education in Africa has increased by more than 8% each year, according to a report released mid this year by the UN educational, scientific and cultural organisation (Unesco). The increase in investment funding on Africa’s education system has witnessed some spectacular results, with an increase in number of primary school-going children by more than 40% over the period 2006 and 2011 – from 85 million to 128 million. The enrolment figures I primary, secondary and tertiary education has also increased by over 50% during the same period.

The injection of investment funding over the next 5 years will help support the conversion of 4 existing primary schools into a single multiplex, encouraging the increased efficient use of shared resources and expertise. The funding will also go towards the construction of 8 new schools in 5 villages – Ntseimbang, Menjung, Quebessi, Ndzevru and Idenau.
