Pathways Financial Credit Union in Beavercreek Donates $2,900 to Local Greenebucs Chapter
BEAVERCREEK, Ohio, December 19, 2022 (Newswire.com) - Beavercreek Pathways branch manager Angela Jackson presented Leti Hall, President of Greenebucs, with a check for $2,900 to help purchase and assemble mobility tricycles for people with disabilities. "We are honored to be able to help disabled children and adults get their first bike," said Jackson. "I can only imagine the joy parents must feel seeing their child ride a bike for the first time."
Greenebucs is a non-profit organization with dedicated volunteers who believe that everyone should experience the joy of riding a bike. Greenebucs provides free custom Amtryke Therapeutic Tricycles to individuals who cannot operate a traditional bicycle.
"Each trike costs Greenebucs between $700 and $1400 and it is customized to fit the person's specific disability," said Hall. "Thanks to our new partnership with Bicycle Corps of America, our tricycles are now manufactured in the US which cuts down on wait time for our clients."
Greenebucs is a local chapter of the national parent organization, AMBUCS. Together, both organizations have donated more than 1000 Amtrykes, built numerous accessibility ramps, and offered college scholarships to hundreds of students pursuing a therapy major. They rely on the community for donations and are always looking for volunteers to help assemble trikes. To find out how you can help Greenebucs, visit greenebucs.org.
