On Earth Day, WAFA Opens the Call for Applications to Water, Air and Food Pioneers Worldwide

Copenhagen, Denmark, April 21, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Humanitarian Water Air Food Awards - WAFA celebrates Earth Day by opening the call for applications to the 4th edition of the WAF Awards. Individuals, groups and organizations who have created solutions to the serious problems of water, air and food in less fortunate societies are welcome to apply for the Award, as long as their projects have been in place for two years with credible results. We are looking for people from all around the world to participate. This year, we want the world to join in, help us find outstanding projects and celebrate amazing pioneers! Anyone can nominate candidates who fit the placement criteria, and the public will have a chance to vote on their favorite initiative.

WAFA holds an annual Awards gala with a variable location. The finalists are flown to the destination, accommodations are provided, and they will have an opportunity to share their solutions with the world.The winners receive the WAFA trophy for best practices, a monetary prize, and WAFA's support in global coverage, which will garner attention from corporations and organizations that can support, bolster, scale and replicate further expansion to reach more people in need.

Since 2010, WAFA has a mission to help social innovators and entrepreneurs implementing solutions to provide water, clean air and food to communities in need. We acknowledge and promote the good deeds of wonderful people who work to make sustainable goals a reality. By promoting best practices and outstanding pioneers, WAFA spreads a message of hope to counter the negativity in the world.
