New Game for U.S. Toy Industry

The first ever family version of Mahjong is currently being released after 3 years of development. Mahjong Junior has arrived in the U.S. with an eco-friendly collector's edition designed with "cool" game pieces for today's generation, and it's fun.

The long awaited family version of Mahjong has arrived just in time for the Holiday Season. The Factor Family's first game release has just hit New York, and is expected to be available for shipping the first week in December if not sooner, just in time for gift-wrapping.

The game took three years to produce: from concept, play-testing, design, and finding the right Eco-Friendly "Go Green" manufacturer to produce the game. The initial run is a collector edition of 500 units which all carry a limited edition insignia and the TM Symbol. On September 29, 2010 the USPTO registered the Mahjong Junior trademark to Factor Family, LLC so all future editions will be printed with the registered trademark symbol. These 1st copy limited editions are only available on the internet, and will someday hold value for game collectors and Mahjong players worldwide.

The game was inspired by the ancient Chinese game of Mahjong, which needs four players and is often difficult to learn. Mahjong Junior was meant to challenge pre-school children, teach teens something "cool" and trendy, and a way for parents to reconnect with their family and friends. This version of luck, chance, and strategy is a an ideal foundation to play the more traditional Mahjong.

The game is the first of its kind to be released in the U.S., and we are expecting it to be as trend-setting as its predecessor. This version was made for today's generation, with it's bright yellow game tiles and its anime-inspired graphics. We see the future of Mahjong Junior as limitless, from computer games, to tournaments, just like the International cult classic Mahjong.
