Another point of praise Floyd had for the ILX was with regard to fuel economy, coming right in line with the EPA estimates for the vehicle. Standard on the ILX is a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with 150 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque, and its range of amenities includes comfort options like a leather-wrapped steering wheel and conveniences such as Bluetooth connectivity and a USB/iPod audio interface.
Motor Trend declared that the ILX "delicately tows the line" between comfort and sport, encouraging Floyd to push toward the redline while also enjoying the luxury that Acura is known for.
