Major Traffic Alert for Sunny Isles Boulevard in Sunny Isles Beach

Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, November 3, 2016 (Newswire.com) - A major 3-phase road closure at westbound State Road 826 / 163 Street / Sunny Isles Boulevard will begin on November 10, 2016. The closures are necessary to facilitate the installation of the pedestrian overpass to Gateway Park at 151 Sunny Isles Boulevard.

The road closures are expected to proceed as follows:

Phase One includes a north side inner loop closure and a reduction to one lane on the westbound ramp on 11/10/16 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Phase Two involves the closure of the north side inner loop between the east end of Gateway Park to the east end of the Public Storage lot starting on 11/10/16 at 3:30 p.m. through 11/21/16 at 5:00 a.m.

Phase Three requires the full closure of all westbound lanes; inner loop, outer loop, and ramp, from Collins Avenue to the east end of the Public Storage lot starting at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, 11/18/16 through 11/21/16 at 5:00 a.m. Traffic detours for Phase Three will redirect northbound traffic to the William Lehman Causeway and southbound traffic will be diverted to the Broad Causeway at 96 Street through Bal Harbour.
