A 19th Century Georgian manor house in Suffolk is to welcome visitors to its 500-acres estate for the first time.

Sibton Park, nestled between the picturesque villages of Yoxford and Peasenhall, is a boutique manor house. Built in 1827 to replace an earlier house, the secluded mansion was designed as a classical 'Gentleman's residence' of a the late Georgian Period surrounded by over 500 acres of its own landscaped Park, pleasure grounds and woodland rides.

The long serpentine drive winds through the park and is screend from the house by parkland trees and planting until the view opens up across the lake to the mellow stucco of the house and the monumental facade of the entrance front. Giant Ionic columns form a portico framing the front door.

The South and East facades directly overlook the Parkland. The West elevation is enclosed by a giant Redwood and Cedar of Lebanon that creates a more intimate area with framed views up the Yox valley and to the distant spire of St. Peter's Church Sibton.

The historical property sleeps 26 in 13 luxurious and spacious bedrooms, 9 of which are en-suite. Although the home operates as self-catering accommodation, guests benefit from a team of housekeepers, butlers and chefs on request.

While staying at Sibton Park, visitors will enjoy the magnificent surroundings, including grand reception rooms and an elegant Cantilevered Portland stone stairway, surrounded by idyllic parkland.

This new countryside retreat offers a truly unique stay and is well suited for both special occasion visits and business events.

Outside of the manor, guests venturing out can enjoy a wide range of leisure activities in the peaceful Suffolk countryside. Close-by is Halesworth Golf Club and there is also shooting at Heveningham Hall Estate.

To hire the property for a week prices start from £6900 at Sibton Park, or £80 per room per night. Short breaks are also available and low occupancy discounts - for more information visit www.bestofsuffolk.co.uk.
