Key West Restaurant Re-opens, Better Than Ever

Roof Top Cafe re-opens its doors after a brief hiatus, treating guests to a freshened interior in which to enjoy the top-rated Key West restaurant's signature "New Island Cuisine"; introduces Agave 308 Key West tequila bar.

In the highly competitive Key West restaurant market, the need to keep a vibrant balance between menu and atmosphere is strong. To keep guests returning year after year to a particular locale among the many choices in this tropical paradise, the details make all the difference. To that end, Roof Top Caf closes its doors for a few weeks each summer, not only to reward their hard-working staff for a job well done, but also to give the iconic patio dining establishment a total refresh from top to bottom. After the 2013 hiatus, this Key West restaurant has re-opened, better than ever.

Weve been in the fine-dining business too long to think that we can just rest on our laurels and coast from year to year, said co-owner Norman Vogel of the recent, sold-out, grand re-opening party. Just because you offer Key West patio dining, or youre known for the best key lime pie on the island, theres always someone out there doing their best to be better than you. Its a business that requires diligence to stay on top, but thats just what we plan to do.

Fortunately for Vogel, the Roof Top Caf staff supports his vision. Along with the physical refurbishing that took place during the annual break, including a complete refinishing of the restaurants signature outdoor dining deck, which is shaded by the envy of the island; a stunning and historic Chinese Mahogany tree, the staff took part in an intensive retraining program to ensure they remain at the top of their game, while becoming familiar with many exciting additions to Roof Top Cafs already island-renowned menu.

This year the grand re-opening of the well-established Key West restaurant incorporates an expansion, with the addition of Agave 308; the hottest new tequila bar on the island. Located just below Roof Top Cafs outdoor dining decks, the new Key West bar features over 75 tequilas and an impressive array of creative, specialty cocktails, making it the ideal place to enjoy a nightcap after a memorable island style dinner upstairs; Above the streets; Beneath the stars.
