Invents Unveils "SAFE", Designed To Prevent Gun Crimes In Schools & Elsewhere
New York, NY, November 3, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Everyone is horrified and stunned by the number of senseless murders committed in places in America which were once considered “safe”, such as schools and malls. While there is much debate over causes and gun control, one possible solution to this problem is the SAFE (Secure Area For Everyone). SAFE is a wireless electronic system designed to prevent gun crimes, especially random mass shootings in public places.. It senses the presence of any firearm within its range and then disables any such gun not possessed by law enforcement officers.
SAFE requires that new firearms be equipped with a tiny RFID receiver/transmitter and that existing firearms be retrofitted with the device. This device acts, when instructed to do so by a wireless signal from the master module, to disable the weapon's firing mechanism. The receiver/transmitter can be placed in the grips of a handgun or the stock of a long gun. Several alternative wireless technologies from RF to ultrasound, may be appropriate for the mode of transmission and reception.
"Every human being wishes to find an environment which is a secure area and safe place to be. SAFE is a potential solution to prevent gun crimes because the SAFE system renders guns inoperable."
James Robinson, Inventor
The Patent Pending SAFE was invented by James Robinson of Torrance, CA, who said, “SAFE controls guns by rendering them inoperable. This system may well appeal to gun makers and gun owners as a sensible compromise respectful of their rights and beneficial to themselves, their families, and to society as a whole.”
