Invents Company Unveils "Happy Strap", Keeps Kids Secure In Shopping Carts

The Happy Strap for Shoppers prevents a child from standing up, climbing or falling out of a shopping cart.

Trying to do the grocery shopping with a small child can be a frustrating experience! When the shopper takes his or her eyes off the child to grab a can off the shelf, the child may stand up in the cart and fall out. Most shopping carts do have flimsy seat belts attached to the shopping cart seats, but many times these are broken, missing or so big that a child can easily slip through. A sensible alternative to these flimsy seat belts is the Happy Strap. A specially designed wearable safety harness that is worn by the child, the Happy Strap is easily secured to a shopping cart, providing a way to comfortably restrain a child.

A cleverly designed double stitched, reinforced and wearable vest, the Happy Strap has an integrated harness that secures the child in a comfortable, seated position within the shopping cart seat. Manufactured of nylon, canvas or other sturdy material, the lightweight Happy Strap is offered in a variety of colors and charming printed designs that appeal to children. The Happy Strap is a one-size-fits-all vest, but can be made available in a wide range of sizes and for children of different ages and body types. The Happy Strap is manufactured in accordance to the stringent guidelines for children's products as set forth by the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association (JPMA).

"Our children are vitally important and yet when grocery shopping they can grab, leap or jump creating danger to their wellbeing. The Happy Strap protects the child and also keeps them safe from a sudden removal by a stranger. Happy Strap works!"

Kristina and Steve Molitor , Inventors

The Patent Pending Happy Strap was invented by Kristina and Steve Molitor of Carthage, TX, who said, “The affordably priced Happy Strap has integrated straps that run horizontally across the front and back of the vest. Adjustable belt fasteners with spring clips extend from the adjustable chest and back straps at the child's mid-torso and can be easily secured to both the front and rear sides of the shopping cart seat's wire framework. With the Happy Strap, shoppers can comfortably and securely restrain a child in the cart's basket-style seat, preventing the child from standing up, climbing or otherwise falling out of the cart.”
