ILLUSIO Announces Augmented Reality Imaging System for Cosmetic Surgery
San Clemente, CA, February 17, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ILLUSIO is a new medical software company featuring the latest in 3D augmented reality technology. This imaging system has been designed as a visualization tool for Board Certified Plastic Surgeons to effectively communicate with their patients about the numerous outcomes of aesthetic surgery.
ILLUSIO combines a fluid and lifelike 3D virtual image of a patient's breasts with a live image of her face and body to transform an iPad into a virtual mirror. The proprietary artistic adapters and deformers allow surgeons to easily manipulate virtual models to quickly replicate any real life body characteristics. Patients can now see themselves and their future bodies in real time. With the ILLUSIO imaging system, she can turn side-to-side and in real-time see herself with all of the size and shape options that her surgeon creates, enabling her to make a quick and confident decision.
"It's been amazing to see how happy patients are when they see themselves and their future self. ILLUSIO really takes the guess work out of the decision to have cosmetic surgery. In addition our surgeons are seeing spikes in their patient conversion rates of over 90%"
Ethan Winner, CEO, ILLUSIO
“We are thrilled to finally be in a position to offer our imaging system to plastic surgeons across the country. There has always been a need for patients and their surgeons to better communicate with one another. With ILLUSIO they can share the same exact image of the outcome of aesthetic surgery. Patients will no longer have to rely on before and after pictures of other patients. They can now simply see themselves.” says Ethan Winner, CEO of ILLUSIO.
ILLUSIO will be at the 2016 American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS) Aesthetic Meeting in Las Vegas April 4-6. This is the largest conference for aesthetic plastic surgeons.
Headquartered in San Clemente, CA, ILLUSIO plans on expanding beyond virtual breast models to tummy tucks which will enable imaging for “Mommy Makeovers”. Next on the list will be facial procedures such as nose reshaping and face lifts.
