Hotel Investors Seeking Phuket

Hotel investors are attracted to Phuket's record occupancy rates of 82.9% for the first quarter of 2011, 0.6% higher than in 2010.

Hotel occupancy rates in Phuket, Thailand have increased over the past year to an all time high of 82.9% for only the first three months of 2011, 0.6% higher than 2010, which was reported by the Bangkok Post. With these incredible results, investors are turning their gaze to Phuket's hotel industry.

Hotel investors have seen how attractive the occupancy rates are and transactions are reported to be very strong. The economic downturn of 2007 is becoming a distant memory as signs of improvement are seen continuously.

Phuket's main competitors for investment are Bali , Koh Samui and Pattaya, a recent panel of experts from the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) agree that Phuket now offers better prospects for investors than any of the afore mentioned locations.

A new trend for off-plan properties is sparking interest between investors looking at Phuket and experts agree that a good location and ocean views as well as build quality were the key focus for successful property investment in Phuket.

"Hotel investment is usually exclusive to high net worth individuals," commented Chris Comer, CEO of Castlewood Group, a commercial property developer based in Singapore. "But at Castlewood Group, we offer an opportunity that allows people from all walks of life to invest in a luxury hotel. The luxury 8over8 hotel is situated near the beautiful Bang Tao Beach and Laguna Resort in Phuket."

Bang Tao Beach is over eight kilometers long making it the second longest beach on the island of Phuket. The area surrounding Bang Tao to the Northern part of the beach is home to the many lakes of the Laguna complex and its five star resorts, formerly tin mining country.

The southern stretch of beach has many other accommodation options but the Phuket Tourism authorities have been very careful not to spoil the natural beauty of this expanse of coast line and as such it retains much of its original beauty. In fact some areas of Bang Tao beach are still completely untouched by development and visitors can find they have the beach to themselves.

The waters here are calm and perfect for swimming and there is a great selection of water sports available all year round and with a perfect sunset every night, it really is like paradise.
