Highlands Oncology Group and UAMS' Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute Work Together to Advance Cancer Care in Arkansas

Rockefeller Cancer Institute at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) are actively involved in clinical research. Both HOG and UAMS provide opportunities for qualified patients to participate in various clinical trials.
HOG and UAMS are working together to provide more research trial opportunities for their patients. Together, they have begun collaboration on a trial titled “Vaccination of High Risk Breast Cancer Patients.”
The trial is to evaluate an experimental breast cancer vaccine with chemotherapy, followed by surgery. It is open to female, non-metastatic, patients with ER-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer who qualify for standard treatment and meet the other study population criteria.
