Grupo ASSA Celebrates 18 Years Of Transforming Business Processes

Grupo ASSA, the Consulting and Outsourcing company that helps clients with their Business Process Transformation through Information Technology, celebrated its 18th anniversary on September 17th, in the midst of regional expansion and growing global.

Back in 1992, on a 17th of September, 17 professionals got together to start up an entrepreneurial company, client-oriented, innovative and committed to exceeeding expectations on a daily basis. Today, that dream has torned into a multi-latin company with over 1,000 employees, offices in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Chile and the United States, and commercial relationships in Europe and Asia.

Over the years many important milestones have been reached, including leadership in JDEdwards-Oracle technology in Argentina, later extended to all of Latin America; SAP selected Grupo ASSA to install its first NetWeaver Technology Lab in Latin America, awarded the company its "Award of Excellence" and selected it as "Preferred Partner in Latin America for ESA/SOA Adoption Program"; Grupo ASSA acquired IBS Consultoria in Brazil, a firm specializing in SAP; Intel named it member of its "e-Business Network"; it received the Sadosky Award for achievements in Argentina's IT industry; and it began operating the global Center of Excellence for JDEdwards-Oracle technology for the leading Health Care company, which also included Grupo ASSA in its global "Preferred Vendor" category.

In addition, IAOP recognized Grupo ASSA among the world's 100 best global Outsourcing services providers, and Global Services selected it as one of the 100 best Technology Services providers in the world, and one of the top 5 in Latin America. The Great Place to Work Institute identified the company among the 50 best companies to work for in Argentina, and among the best 70 in the Brazilian IT market. Finally, Columbia University highlighted Grupo ASSA as the only multinational IT company in Argentina and Fundación Invertir granted it an award for its investment in technology.

In these 18 years the company has established client relationships with global companies, Latin American multinationals and local leading companies in industries such as manufacturing, consumer products, health care and retail. Today, services are provided to over 40,000 end-users of SAP and Oracle-JDEdwards platforms in over 30 countries.

This year saw the addition of two new international partners, the IFC-World Bank and HSBC Latin America Partners, to support Grupo ASSA's expansion through its process transformation model and based on the company's multisourcing platform. 2010 also saw the inauguration of the Buenos Aires Delivery Center, from where outsourced application maintenance and support services will be provided to clients in Latin America, the United States and Europe, through an investment of approximately US$ 1.5 million.

All a part of a long history that is still being written, and which reveals a future of growth, development and expansion that will be built, as it has been until now, based on Grupo ASSA's strongest asset: our people.
