While there are some drawbacks to something like a game show being used to help pay off student loans, such as how not every contestant can win or how if a cash payout is made it will very likely be taxed, it sounds like the producers have taken a few steps to help at least a couple of problems. The first contestant out will still receive a sizable reward, as will contestants who last longer. There will likely still be issues to work out before the show starts accepting applications, but for some borrowers, it may be just the needed miracle for troublesome student loans.
