FTC Provides Critical Manufacturing at a Time When It's Needed Most

Houston-based Filtration Technology Corporation (FTC), a leader in innovative liquid-solid filtration and separation products and solutions, remains open during the current global crisis and has adapted its operations to maintain critical manufacturing output for their cartridge filtration products.

Harris County Judge, Lina Hidalgo, has issued a “Stay Home, Work Safe” order for the city of Houston and Harris county. However, this order provides an exception for essential service businesses that have a special responsibility to continue operations and maintain the services and functions Americans depend on every day.

FTC is considered a “Critical Manufacturing” business, with operations “necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture, chemical manufacturing, nuclear facilities, the operations of dams, water and wastewater treatment, emergency services, and the defense industrial base.”

FTC manufactures filtration and separation products, such as cartridge filter vessels, that are essential for maintaining proper operations and optimized output in a variety of industries, including natural gas processing and transmission, oil refining, power generation, industrial manufacturing, water treatment, and food and beverage. These industries are critical to the supply chain of essential needs; some of the many examples include PPE, chemicals, plastics, toilet paper, transportation fuels, power, and food and beverage packaging. In compliance with the county order and CISA guidelines, FTC will continue to maintain scheduled operations during the Houston/Harris County “Stay Home, Work Safe” order.

According to Tyler J. Johnson, President & CEO of FTC, “Our team at FTC is proud to continue serving our partners and customers during this challenging time. We take seriously our critical manufacturing role even when there is no threat to our national security. During this emergency, we are more focused than ever on maintaining normal operations so that we can continue to supply the industries that depend on our products.”
