Foundation for a Drug Free World Asks Teens: Wanna Get a True High? Then Dance! and Say No to Drugs - Say Yes to Life
Los Angeles, CA, February 5, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Foundation for a Drug Free World Florida, supported by the Church of Scientology and located at 41 North Fort Harrison Avenue in downtown Clearwater is inviting teens to its second dance of 2016, on the 20th of February. The dance is in promotion of the Foundation’s Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Lifecampaign. The Foundation cut the ribbon on its current location six months ago when thousands joined in the celebration.
The Foundation started 2016 with a focus on area teens and on the 30th of January 2016 when dozens of teenagers from several area schools and colleges attended a dance at the Foundation. They enjoyed a wide variety of music chosen by 18-year-old Jacob Grimm, aka “DJ Grimm” who also organized the dance.
"I get high putting music together and seeing my friends and other teens enjoying themselves because I want them to find out that they can have fun without taking drugs."

DJ Grimm said, “I get high putting music together and seeing my friends and other teens enjoying themselves because I want them to find out that they can have fun without taking drugs.”
Grimm cited the following statistics from a study done by Florida Health in 2014 as his motivation for creating these dances for teens:
- Almost 45% of Pinellas County youth aged 5-17 reported having used one or more illicit drugs.
- 43% of Pinellas County students (6th – 12th grade) have consumed alcohol at some point in their life. 63% of Pinellas County high school students abuse alcohol.
A quote from humanitarian L. Ron Hubbard is prominently inscribed on the Foundation’s reception wall, “The single most destructive element in these societies today is drugs”.
The Foundation closed out 2015 with over 3,000 visitors through its doors to view the interactive displays containing visuals of the Foundation’s Truth About Drugs materials and visuals, over five dozen events and with a distribution of over 58,000 Truth About Drugs booklets and DVDs throughout Pinellas County and beyond.
