VINYLIZE IS SUPPORTING SNOWDEN'S CAUSE WITH NEW EYEWEAR

Vinylize isn't making any judgment on Snowden's situation, but we do know that he cannot continue to wear the same glasses.

We aren't sure why Snowden's team didn't request asylum in Hungary but Vinylize believes in free speech, freedom of the (vinyl!!) press, and that everyone should wear eyewear that makes a statement.

Vinlyize is in contact with Snowden's team to arrange a meeting with the elusive Mr. Snowden to see which eyewear style he prefers.

For security reasons, we can't disclose the specifics of this meeting, but we can give you the chance to wear the same cool frames that a man who stands for his rights might wear.

In the event that the meeting with Snowden does not work out, we would still like to support his cause. Vinylize is asking all readers to participate in an online voting session to choose the best frames for Mr. Snowden.

The winning frame will be fedexed to his address, once it becomes known.

Vinylize is the brain child of Tipton Eyeworks: an eyewear collection made from vinyl records. Check it out: www.vinylize.com

Vinylize began because we wanted to make eyewear on a recyclable basis. We experimented by making old vinyl records into frames. The process has been refined over a number of years into a stylish and sophisticated product.

Some vinyl is valuable because of the content but not all and it's those unwanted vinyl records that instead of just being thrown into landfill we remake into unique and very wearable eyewear.
