Edgar Rice Burroughs Art History Retrospective
Little Rock, AR, June 5, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Michael Tierney’s massive 4-volume retrospective, Edgar Rice Burroughs’ 100 Year Art Chronology is a multi-volume collection that captures the vast illustrative history of Edgar Rice Burroughs. As an art history of Burroughs’ publications in the pulps, comics and books, it shines light on an extraordinary body of work.
Little Rock, Arkansas-based Chenault & Gray Publishing and ERB, Inc. are working together with author Michael Tierney to bring this project to life. To that end, a Kickstarter campaign was launched late last month. With over 20 days remaining, the project has funded and grown far beyond its original goal.
"One of the fun aspects of working on the ERB Art Chronology was discovering things that I never knew before, like how the artist for the 1st hardcover edition of Tanar of Pellucidar, Paul F. Berdanier, was also an artist for many of the never before reprinted Tarzan covers for Tip Top Comics."
