Dula Tour Travel Club Welcomes the World to 2019 Winter World University Games in the Heart of Siberia
LONDON, February 18, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Only 12 days to go until the 2019 Winter World University Games in Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Dula Tour Travel Club (an official licensee of Krasnoyarsk 2019 Games) is looking forward to a great opportunity to show real Siberian hospitality and give a real 'Siberian Bearhug.'
The Winter World University Games in Krasnoyarsk will consist of 11 days of exciting competition. The final preparations will be made on 27-28 February, just ahead of the Opening Ceremony on 2 March.
The Siberia’s third largest city will bring together more than 3,000 athletes from 60 countries, who will compete for 76 sets of medals in 11 winter sports: alpine skiing, bandy, biathlon, cross-country skiing, curling, figure skating, freestyle skiing and ice hockey.
Competitors, spectators and over 5,000 volunteers (most of them students) will not be just enjoying in exciting winter sport spectacles. They will have a great opportunity to experience a real Siberian winter, traditional Russian culture and an authentic food e.g. "Siberian Pelmeni" (meats filled dumplings any Russian is extremely proud of).
On the other hand, Russia is rapidly developing many local versions of traditional western foods and drinks. In the last 2-3 years Russian food-lovers took to their hearts (and to their stomachs) such typical British dishes as traditionally-aged steaks, full English breakfast, Cheddar cheese, etc. Even I.P.A. beer (locally brewed) is everywhere in restaurants, bars and pubs.
So the competition will be not just between sportsmen but also between succulent foods e.g. "Siberian Pelmeni" v. "British Steaks" v. "American Burgers".
