Honoring music's greatest icons, Tommy Cono's performances blend nostalgia with heartfelt reverence.

New Jersey's own Tommy Cono, known as "The Voice of Tribute," is captivating audiences nationwide with his incredible tribute performances. As a key artist signed with Joey M's Golden Kids, Tommy brings the greatest hits of the ‘50s and ‘60s back to life, delighting fans far beyond the Jersey Shore. With deep roots in New Jersey, Tommy's passion for classic music has made him a standout talent, and his upcoming performances are not to be missed.

Hometown Roots & A Legacy of Entertainment

At just 27, Tommy Cono is carving out a significant place in the entertainment world. Growing up in New Jersey, Tommy was influenced by the music his grandparents loved - the timeless classics of the ‘50s and ‘60s. His passion for performing started early, with a family legacy in entertainment that stretches back generations. His great-grandmother was a Rockette, and an uncle was a traveling clown. Tommy himself began performing as Shorty the Clown with the Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars. However, it was his love for music that truly called him to the stage.

In 2018, Tommy began his tribute career at Joey M's La Piazza in Wildwood, NJ, paying homage to the legendary artists who shaped the early rock ‘n' roll era. Joey M, a beloved restaurant owner and entertainer in Wildwood, has been a crucial figure in Tommy's life as a teacher, manager, and friend. Joey continues to guide Tommy's career, helping him make invaluable connections and fostering his growth as a performer. Since then, Tommy's career has soared, with performances alongside some of the most iconic names in the business, including Chubby Checker, The Duprees, France Joli, Jay & The Americans, and so many others. His authentic dedication to preserving the spirit of these artists' work has earned him a loyal following.

A Tribute to Bobby Rydell and Collaborations with Legends

Tommy Cono's musical journey has been profoundly shaped by his friendships with legendary artists, most notably Bobby Rydell, who was not only a mentor but also an important figure in Tommy's career. Tommy had the honor of being the last artist to record with Bobby, resulting in two special songs created just before Rydell's passing. As the spokesperson for the Bobby Rydell Foundation, Tommy is committed to keeping Bobby's spirit alive by raising funds for scholarships, supporting the Gift of Life organization in Bobby's name, and contributing to the project for a bronze statue in Wildwood, NJ, honoring Bobby. The foundation has successfully hosted various events, including a gala dinner and a dance party, all aimed at garnering community support for these essential initiatives.

In addition to honoring Rydell, Tommy had the unique opportunity to collaborate with Frankie Avalon in the studio, marking Frankie's first return to recording in over 45 years. This partnership represents a bridge between generations, showcasing the timeless appeal of classic music and its relevance in today's entertainment landscape.

Tommy is also proud to join forces with The Golden Boys, a legendary group that originally included Frankie Avalon, Bobby Rydell, and Fabian. With Bobby's passing, Tommy is honored to pay tribute to Rydell alongside Frankie Avalon and Fabian. Joey M, Tommy's manager and friend, facilitated these collaborations, allowing Tommy to create lasting memories with his musical heroes while continuing their legacy through his performances.

Upcoming Shows & Community Engagement

This October, Tommy will take the stage for the Wildwoods Oldies Weekend on October 19, 2024, marking his third year performing at this beloved event. He'll share the stage with Frankie Avalon, The Lettermen, and The Shirelles, creating a nostalgic experience for fans who cherish the music that has shaped their lives.

On December 7, 2024, Tommy will perform at the Bobby Rydell Foundation Holiday Show in Wildwood, NJ, marking the much-anticipated return of the Wildwood Holiday Spectacular after a long hiatus. This special event will feature performances from The Tymes, The Skyliners, and Joey M, alongside Tommy, as they celebrate the holiday season while raising funds for the Bobby Rydell Foundation. The concert promises to be a memorable evening filled with classic hits, holiday cheer, and a meaningful cause.

In January, Tommy will debut his solo show at the Lighthouse Theater in Jupiter, FL, with two performances at 2 PM and 7 PM. The show will feature a special tribute to Bobby Rydell, along with nods to Frankie Valli, Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison, and many more, continuing his mission of keeping the music of these legends alive.

Additionally, Tommy will make his highly anticipated return to the Malt Shop Memories Cruise in 2025, bringing his tribute performances back to the iconic event.

A Community-Minded Entertainer

In addition to his musical talents, Tommy's deep sense of community shines through his work as a firefighter and EMT, where he passionately serves those around him. "Service to the community is as important as the music I make," Tommy states, reflecting his strong connection to both his craft and the people he helps. This dedication resonates in his performances, where he connects deeply with his audience by carefully selecting songs that reflect their experiences and memories, turning each performance into a shared celebration of music and community.
