DirectRooms.com - Innsbruck Stages a Festival of Dance
Online, June 2, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Innsbruck Tanzsommer, the Summer Dance Festival will be offering audiences dance in many different styles from traditional ballet to more contemporary forms.
Some of the headline acts include Stomp from America who are returning to the festival after an eleven-year absence. The dance troupe have toured the world and for the uninitiated their style is very much in line with the production's name with banging, stomping and crashing, but all with a real sense of rhythm. Household items such as trash can lids, broomsticks and basketballs add to the effects and audiences can virtually feel the sounds reverberating through their bodies.
The Rambert Dance Company is another act that is performing and definitely worth seeing for the grace of the performances. Alternatively Impepe Yomlingo from South Africa gives a refreshing interpretation of the classic Magic Flute by Mozart. The company is made up of no less than 40 dancers, singers and musicians and the festival represents a rare opportunity to see them performing in Austria.
Dance students can also take part in the workshops that will run as part of the event. People that want to attend will have to book an Innsbruck hotel anytime between 14th June and 15th July 2011.
Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "This is a large and prominent festival and hotels will be witnessing a significant increase in bookings making it imperative that attendees have made reservations in advance."
