DirectRooms.com - Full Moon Party To Be Held In Koh Pha Ngan On 17 July 2011

The party never stops each month on Koh Pha Ngan and on 17th July 2011 party goers can once again come out in the thousands to worship the moon.

The island's full moon party will see a host of the best DJs from Thailand and international shores coming to mix things up and get everyone on their feet. They'll be aided by twelve monolithic sound systems that even cause the golden white sand to vibrate as the bass comes through.

All along the beach at Haad Rin there will be a selection of music playing non stop which will be mainly house and dance and the fire shows are definitely worth seeing.

On top of this the drink of choice that fuels the party is known simply as a bucket, this is the equivalent of a small bucket used to build sand castles that is generally filled with the local rum and topped up with mixers. Add a small bottle of the native energy drink and it's the tonic to keep the party going all night.

Anywhere between 8,000 and nearly 20,000 people are expected for July's full moon and every month this makes it really hard to get a Koh Pha Ngan hotel if people leave it late to book.

Lek Boonlert, marketing head at DirectRooms.com commented: "The parties represent the busiest time on the island and even the islands next door start to fill up. People will need to book places as early as they can as everywhere becomes fully booked."
