Dawson Marketing Concepts Partners With Local Colleges

Dawson Marketing Concepts managers recently announced that the interactive marketing firm has partnered with local colleges and universities. This effort is to help students and graduates gain sales and marketing experience.

“May is almost here and this is the time local graduates are considering their career options,” said Vince, Dawson Marketing Concepts’ director of operations. “For upperclassmen, this is a great time to consider internship opportunities. This is why we’ve partnered with these schools. We want to help provide that additional level of knowledge needed before these students enter the workforce.”

"Interactive marketing is the wave of the future,"

Vince, Director of Operations

Vince noted that Dawson Marketing Concepts’ leaders are recruiting for entry level sales and marketing positions, as well as for their college internship program. “We are seeking laser-focused individuals who paid attention in school, who are prepared to use their new knowledge, and who have a thirst for success,” he said. “If you’re motivated and eager to gain hands-on experience, this is the company to check out.”

“Interactive marketing is the wave of the future,” Vince explained. “It’s more involved than just creating interesting advertisements for radio or TV. Brands are recognizing that to build market share, they have to directly target the consumers who are most likely to purchase their products. They have to make a connection. Today’s consumers are savvy. They want to know about more than just the product. They want to know how it will improve their lives. They want to learn about the business that produces that product, and whether that company’s values are equal to the ones they hold. That’s what dynamic marketing is about – creating awareness and building lasting relationships.”

Vince described the Dawson Marketing Concepts training program. “We work with our interns and new associates so they fully understand our unique marketing methods,” he said. “They learn it all; from research to consumer profiles to campaign creation and execution. Managers and seasoned team members coach them along the way. Our company culture centers on teamwork and collaboration. It’s a very supportive environment.”

Dawson Marketing Concepts Discusses the Benefits of Internships

Dawson Marketing Concepts’ managers suggest that if they haven’t already done so, current students and new graduates should consider internship programs to gain experience. “The knowledge you’ve gained in college is invaluable,” said Vince. “However, hiring companies want to know that you’ve had some practical experience as well. This is where an internship comes in handy.”

“When you’re looking at prospective internship programs, ask questions about what you’ll be doing,” Vince advised. “The one thing you don’t want is to just observe others working or be the one they send to fetch coffee. Inquire about specific projects you’ll be working on or what your role will be. Your goal is to gain hands-on experience, put your knowledge to work, and become more confident in your intended profession. You can’t do that if you’re the errand runner.”

Vince concluded, “There are so many benefits to internships. We’re committed to making sure students and graduates have that practice. We’re partnering with local colleges because we believe so fully in this approach. Also, to all local grads, we wish you well! May you go far.”
