CTIP Signs Cooperative Partnership With China's Largest International Trade Promotion Organization
Council for Trade and Investment Promotion (CTIP) an international non-profit organization based in New Jersey signed a "Cooperative Partnership Agreement" with China's largest international Trade Promotion organization called China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) to promote trade and investments on a bilateral arrangement in accordance with existing Laws and Regulations of its respective countries.
Newark, NJ, March 29, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The Council for Trade and Investment Promotion (CTIP), an international non-profit organization based in New Jersey, and China’s largest international Trade Promotion organization called “China’s Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT)” are proud to announce the signing of a “Cooperative Partnership Agreement” dated March 23, 2016 between the two organizations to promote trade, and investments on a bilateral arrangement in accordance with the existing Laws and Regulations of their respective countries. Signing on behalf of CTIP in Beijing, China, is CTIP’s Member of the Board of Trustees, and China Chapter President, Ms. Selina Luo, and on behalf of CCPIT is Mr. Yao Wang, Vice-Chairman of CCPIT.
Mr. Wang, who is also the current President of China Friction and Sealing Materials Association (CFSM- http://www.cfsma.org.cn/en/NewsView.asp?ID=1597) has said that the signing of the Agreement with CTIP is consistent with the program of the country’s dynamic trade and investment promotion not only within China but also overseas.
Wang further said that CCPIT has been hosting several known trade conferences and exhibits all over China, among which the recent 2016 Concrete China held last March 17 to 19, 2016 at the famous China International Exhibition Center in Beijing, China, with co-organizers China Building Materials Federation (CBMF), China Concrete & Cement Products Association (CCPA) and the China Formwork and Scaffold Association (CFSA).
Mr. Fernando M. Sopot, the CTIP Charter President on the other hand said that the signing was a culmination of negotiations between its CTIP Chapter in China headed by Ms. Luo and CCTIP International Trade Director, Mr. Albert Li where CTIP has presented to its Chinese counterpart the plan of joint hosting of a Trade and Investment Conference and a Catalog Show in New Jersey sometime in late August, 2016 which will be followed by CTIP’s hosting of Trade Missions from China in September, 2016 where the Chinese Delegation will be attending a big Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona dubbed as the 34th SAE 2016 Brake Colloquium and Exhibition (http://www.sae.org/events/bce/).
Mr. Sopot likewise said that CCPIT is seriously considering establishing working arrangements with CTIP to promote Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) with strong participation from China, not only in the supply of building materials and equipments, but also possible investments on eligible PPP Infrastructure Projects overseas. To begin with, Mr. Sopot said that Mr. Wang is looking at the possibility of participating in the PPP Institutes and PPP Research Centers, including PPP Center for Energy that CTIP has partnered with some Schools and Universities in Africa and in Latin American Countries.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jeffery Jones, the former City Mayor of Paterson, New Jersey, who recently accepted his appointment as Honorary Chairman of CTIP said that he has been in the forefront of supporting CTIP in its advocacy in promoting trade and investments in the State of New Jersey from day one. Mr. Jones has been advocating for Local Government Capacity Build-Up, and as part of its program, he hopes to create a PPP Research Center or a PPP Institute in partnership with a School or a University in New Jersey. Promoting an educational awareness program on PPP has become CTIP’s advocacy. This initiative according to the former Mayor Jones should be the prelude for towns and cities in the State of New Jersey to redevelop its age-old infrastructure through PPP.
