Cash Depot Taps Morphis MOVR Software to Optimize Field Logistics
DALLAS, November 5, 2018 (Newswire.com) - Cash Depot, the world's largest individually-owned ATM company, announced that is has gone into full production with MOVR (Morphis Optimized Vehicle Routing), a cash logistics software platform from Dallas, Texas-based Morphis Inc. Cash Depot will be using MOVR to optimize daily field service logistics for the 70 technicians they have operating in all 50 states and Puerto Rico, to service their network of over 25,000 ATMs. MOVR will update Cash Depot's routing maps in real-time in order to mobilize technicians as efficiently as possible.
As the latest addition to Morphis' software suite, MOVR is designed to analyze and prioritize all incoming service calls and assign them to technicians in the field based on their proximity, workload, and other factors. As new calls come in throughout the day, MOVR continually revises and updates technicians' routes and assignments, in order to intelligently direct technicians to the ATMs that most need their attention, reducing transit time and overtime hours clocked. MOVR is a cloud-based platform, rendering it scalable to fit organizations of any size or complexity.
This new product is significant to Morphis. MOVR is an opportunity for us to expand our global marketplace, beyond our traditional 'secured cash logistics' vertical to the much broader non-secure transportation logistics space.

Cash Depot is an independent, privately owned, full ATM service provider, based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. They provide all-in-one ATM solutions, selling, leasing, renting, shipping, and servicing automated teller machines nationwide. Their business model depends on their machines being available, functional, and stocked with cash, with as little downtime as possible. They focus on every way they can reduce the amount of time their technicians spend in transit, as that translates into more efficient operations, less machine downtime, and higher profit margins.
"Logistics is our business," said Dave Charles, Sr., owner of Cash Depot. "Every day, our field associates were being tasked with answering the question, 'Where should I go next?' That's not to say there is no plan. There is. Everyone starts their day with a planned route assignment, but then all hell breaks loose. And this is every day."
"At the beginning of every day, it's pretty easy for us to know the best place for each tech to go first," said Kevin Shaver, COO of Cash Depot. "After that, it gets more complicated, because the day's workload expands – primarily with high-priority jobs. By the time our workday gets rolling, new priority calls have changed everything we planned. Without real-time visibility from our dispatch operations center in Green Bay, techs were deciding where to go next; that's when the tail starts wagging the dog."
According to Alif Rahman, President of Morphis, these uncertain situations are precisely what MOVR was intended to address. "MOVR compares every order for service – break-fix, cash, high-priority, low-priority – to all of the resources Cash Depot has available at that moment and then optimizes the daily routine for each. As new orders for service are accepted, MOVR finds the 'best person at the best place' and inserts that new order into a revised route, and delivers specific instructions directly to that technician's smartphone."
"This new product is significant to Morphis," said Gary D. Faulkner, CEO of Morphis. "MOVR is an opportunity for us to expand our global marketplace, beyond our traditional 'secured cash logistics' vertical to the much broader non-secure transportation logistics space."
For Cash Depot, adopting MOVR was a logical choice. With so many high-priority service calls coming up unexpectedly in the middle of the day, keeping technicians locked into pre-planned routes was impossible, but the only alternative was to let technicians adjust their routes independently. It was clear that a centralized system, able to analyze the field in real-time was needed to maintain routing efficiency. With years of experience in the industry and a track record of innovation, Morphis was ideally suited to provide the solution.
